The Porter Township Public Library was previously occupied by the Porter Township Elementary School library. It is located at 216 Spring Run Road Mill Hall, PA 17751. Spring Run Road is between Nittany Valley Drive which is Route 64 and Furnace Road.
The Library is managed by June Strouse. June was the librarian for many years at the school. The library is supported and maintained by Porter Township Supervisors. The library is given a yearly donation from the Township to purchase new books. The Library holds several public events throughout the year. The library is open Tuesdays only from 9AM-11AM and 5PM-7PM.
The Library holds a summer library program. The program is scheduled for Tuesdays in June and July for six weeks 9AM-11AM. Ages 2-15 years old. (Attached report)
A used Book Sale is held annually to make room for new books. Computers are available for public use. The library participated in the Best of Clinton County parade in Lock Haven. The float created by the library was awarded 3rd place. The Clinton County Foundation has awarded Porter Township with a grant to purchase a camera and supplies for the Summer Program.
Stop by the public library in the small rural community outside Lamar to say hello, and look at photos and projects accomplished and check out the selection of adult and children’s books. Donations are always warmly welcomed.
